Stowe Mountain Biking Trails

Cottonbrook, the first marked mountain biking trail on Vermont state land is in Stowe. The trail was built as a joint project between the Town of Stowe and the Vermont Trails & Greenways Council.  Old County Road, Stowe Hollow and Brownsville are other  sanctioned mountain-bike trails.  The Stowe Mountain Bike Club is a dedicated and committed to preserving, protecting and maintaining the local trail network.

Stowe Bike Park

In 2009 the bike club has built a great new bike park with jumps and a variety of tracks. You will find the park located near the Stowe Polo Fields.

For those who want a go at their own pace, a favorite bicycle ride is on Stowe's award-winning Recreation Path.  With over 5 miles of paved bike path starting in Stowe Village, the path winds its way through forests, farm fields replete with cows and meadows.   The path crosses the river nearly a dozen times on wooden bridges. Several shops, lodges, and restaurants either along the path or a short distance away from the path.
