When you live in the mountains during the winter months, sometimes a cup of coffee makes all the difference. Here at William Raveis Stowe Realty, the first thing we want after a day on the ski slopes is a piping hot cup of joe. For our friends at Keurig Green Mountain in neighboring Waterbury, coffee is more than just a hot beverage. In their words: “It connects us to each other and to the rest of the world.”

Today, Keurig Green Mountain (Green Mountain Coffee Roasters) is located in Waterbury’s historic train station. The station, which was originally built in 1875, shuttled thousands of Vermonters to ski slopes, carnivals and everything in between. The decline in railway systems caused the station to close in 1957, but in 2006, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters partnered with Revitalizing Waterbury to restore the building to its former glory.

Stop by to take a tour and learn about how coffee is grown, harvested, processed and roasted. Afterward, you can sample coffees from around the world and experience the “taste of place” that makes each coffee unique. Don’t forget to stop by the cafe for a piece of Austrian Apple Cake or a cup of – our favorite – Fair Trade Organic Sumatran Reserve. You can thank us later.
