Race to the Top of Vermont
The North Face Race to the Top of Vermont, a running, hiking and biking challenge to the top of Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak, welcomes more than 800 participants for its annual event. It’s been tagged “the hardest race everyone can do!”
Organized by the Catamount Trail Association in August, the race encompasses 2,564 vertical feet up the historic Toll Road, with 4.3 miles from the bottom, to the… you guessed it… TOP of Vermont!
Participants from across the United States and Canada can enjoy outstanding Green Mountain views, competition, challenges, friends and high spirits during this popular Stowe race. Whether you, or someone you know, is trying to win, have a personal best or simply take in the splendor of Vermont’s most notable peak, this event is a wonderful way to enjoy summer in Stowe.
Want to get the whole family involved? Try the MVP Health Care Run For Fun for children ages 4 to 14 years. The course is an untimed 1 km loop on the Stowe Recreation Path. Every child receives a medal and a souvenir bib for participating. Let’s cheer on the next generation as they learn about running and the importance of staying active!
Thousands of visitors each year make Stowe their home base as they enjoy the scenic vistas and outdoor activities and attractions abundant in the area.
Stowe’s central location is important whether your interests are hiking, skiing, sightseeing, cross-country skiing, fishing, sleigh rides, shopping or sampling the offerings of other Vermont destinations.
