Stowe Lantern Tours is a one-hour guided exploration of Stowe from the early settlers’ perspective, combining history with ghoulish tales.

Each member of the group carries a replica 18th century barn lantern to light the way – and ward off spirits – on the half-mile visit to Stowe’s historic buildings.

Compelling stories from a professional guide are a welcomed interactive entertainment for visitors, tourists and locals. Hear how the first settler Oliver Luce put down his roots and other experiences from the “resident ghosts of Stowe and New England.”

With more than 15 years of offering tours, Stowe Lantern Tours was chosen by USA Today as a “Top Ten Flickering Lights Tour!”

You might not always have a ghost sighting, but Stowe Lantern Tours never disappoints in providing unique history and background of the area.

Full of old-world charm and character, you’ll be sure to appreciate the care and challenges that come with maintaining historic real estate; these buildings were the original stewards that helped our area thrive!

You are invited to sign up at the Stowe Area Association (Stowe Visitor’s Center) or call (802) 244-1173 to make a reservation.

Don’t forget… William Raveis Stowe Realty is “lurking” just a few doors down, so stop on by if you are looking to buy or sell a house in Stowe or Northern Vermont!
